Sevilla 1-1 Barcelona: as it happened
FT: Sevilla 1-1 Barcelona
Barcelona came away from the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán with a point on Tuesday and could have taken all three.
Ousmane Dembélé hit the post with a curling effort with just minutes left on the clock as Barça searched for the winning goal against 10-man Sevilla.
The home side took the lead when Papu Gómez peeled away from his marker to slot home a low-driven corner by Ivan Rakitic. It was another corner that had Barcelona back in the game. Ronald Araújo climbed highest to bury his header past Bono in the Sevilla goal right on half-time.
As Barcelona grew more into the game in the second half, Sevilla defender Jules Koundé saw red for firing the ball at Jordi Alba. Sevilla managed to survive Barcelona's late dominance and picked up a point that moves them closer to Real Madrid at the top of the table.
FT: Sevilla 1-1 Barcelona
Jordi Alba shoots! Bono saves the low strike.
Barcelona have a corner!
Lenglet crosses, Bono catches.
We're into the last minute...
Sevilla are camped in their own box. Luuk de Jong heads Dembélé's cross on target. Bono saves.
Sevilla defend once again. 90 seconds left! Piqué is playing as a striker.
Barcelona keep pushing for the winner!
Sevilla change:
OFF Lucas Ocampos
ON Valentino Scotta
There will be six minutes added on.
Diego Carlos clears it once again and Sevilla are on the break.
Nico heads it back across goal. Sevilla try to clear it but Barca are hungrier and win it back.
Ocampos goes down right in front of the referee but play is waved on.
Barcelona have a corner on the right!
Barcelona have just edged possession:
Sevilla 48% / Barcelona 52%
Piqué clears the free, which evades all the Sevilla players who are forward.
Sevilla have a free out on the left wing.
Dembélé has seen so much of the ball on the right wing. This time, his left-footed curler from 18 yards cracks the post. That's the closest he and Barca have come to taking the lead. Super strike. Bono was beaten all ends up.
Dembélé crosses from the right wing. Papu Gómez clears it very long up the pitch. Barcelona retain possession again.
What. A. Chance
Ez Abde sends in a wonderful cross. Gavi heads it with the wrong part of his head and it goes wide as a result. Xavi can't believe it on the sideline.
Sevilla are down to 10 men as we approach the last 10 minutes. It's 1-1 and it could really go either way.
Captain Fernando fouls Gavi. Barcelona take it quickly. Sevilla win it back in their own half. Ocampos then looks to play it long to En-Nesyri but it's longer than he intended and goes out for a goalkick.
Ez Abde fouls Gudelj, who is just on the pitch, and picks up a yellow. The challenge started a mini melee but it all blew over fairly quickly in the Andalusian rain.
Dembélé shoots wide!
He's a constant menace. This time, Dembélé cuts in onto his left, leaving two defenders in his wake and hits a left-footed shot wide of Bono's right-hand post. 1-1
Double change for the home side:
OFF Rakitic & Rafa Mir
ON En-Nesyri & Gudelj
Sevilla are about to make a couple of changes.
It was a throw-in. Alba shoved Koundé from behind. The Frenchman picked up the ball, turned around and quite immaturely fired it straight at Alba's shoulder. Alba threw himself to the ground holding his face. Quite embarrassing for both really.
Koundé receives his marching orders for firing a ball at Jordi Alba.
Ez Abde creates a yard for himself on the 18-yard line, spins by Koundé and unleashes a left-footed drive over the bar. Nice play by the youngster but not the end product he was looking for.
Jules Koundé is SENT OFF!
The sides remain level at the hourmark. I expect to see a few changes in the next 10 minutes.
Gavi whips in a low cross from the left but Fernando clears. Dembélé takes the corner, an inswinger from the left. Bono comes out to catch. 1-1
A 50-50 battle between Piqué and Rakitic sees the latter go down. It looks like he may have gone over on his ankle. Sevilla get their subs warmed up.
Joan Jordan goes in late on Gavi.
Delaney tries a very ambitious volley at the back post after a nice ball from Ocampos. It goes wide of Ter Stegen's post.
Araújo has Barcelona back in the game with a header right before half-time. It's 1-1 if you're only joining us.
Sevilla get us underway for the second half!
HT: Sevilla 1-1 Barcelona
Araújo draws Barcelona level!
Ronald Araújo heads Barcelona back into the game with a superb header from a corner.
Ocampos tries to keep the ball in at the byline but is unable to pull it back into play. It's a goalkick for Ter Stegen. Sevilla are winning 1-0 as we approach half-time.
Papu Gómez has been excellent for Sevilla. Not only has he scored the goal, he creates space for himself and is vital in transitions.
Dembélé is a fan of the chop, but the problem for full-backs is that he is so good off his left and right. It's chop after chop. His end product will improve with time, you'd imagine!
Dembélé is doing his best to create a chance for Barcelona. He goes one way, and the other. Rekik does well to stand up to the Frenchman and the deflected shot goes out for a corner.
Jutgla wins a corner for Barca. Fernando has been everywhere for Sevilla.
Delaney picks up a booking for a foul on Gavi.
It's straight off the training ground. Rakitic sends in a low corner. Papu spins off away from the crowd in the box to strike it first time into the far post and it flies past Ter Stegen. It's a really well-worked goal.
Dembélé cuts in from the right, as he loves to do, and shots low to Bono's left. It's not the cleanest strike but spins off Bono and Fernando is there to clear.
Rafa Mir shoots!
Delaney picks out the striker about 25 yards from goal. He takes a touch with his right and sends a shot high and wide with his left. Ter Stegen watches it go by.
Jutgla wins a free for Barca after a foul from Fernando.
Julen Lopetegui has never beaten Barcelona or Real Madrid in LaLiga. Could tonight be the night?
Rafa Mir takes it so well but he's a long way off. Barcelona's high line wins the first battle of the night. The Spain international buried it past Ter Stegen but he knew he was offside.
RAFA MIR GOAL!
... But he's flagged for offside
The ball goes back to Bono, who launches it out of play. It's a throw-in for Barcelona in Sevilla's half. De Jong ends up fouling Rakitic and Sevilla have possession once again. It remains scoreless.
Ocampos is fouled again. It's a free for the hosts. The Argentine causes teams serious trouble down the right and smashed one in at the weekend against Atlético Madrid.
Julen Lopetegui is always so fun to watch on the touchline. Some say goalkeepers are mad, Lopetegui was a goalkeeper back in the day!
Xavi will be pleased with how his side have started this one.
Frenkie de Jong!
Alba drives a diagonal cross from the left to the back post, where De Jong heads into Bono's hands. He's offside!
It's absolutely lashing down here!
Jutgla, confident after scoring at the weekend, has a shot from 30 yards. It flies wide of Bono's right-hand post. 0-0
Sergio Busquets receives the first booking of the game for a late tackle on Lucas Ocampos.
Sevilla are defending in a 4-4-1-1. Lopetegui has them really organised. Diego Carlos and Koundé are also two of the best defenders in the league.
Jutgla starts again tonight after scoring his first ever goal in his first ever start for the Catalan club against Elche.
Rekik takes out the advancing Dembélé as he looks to break inside. It's a free to Barca. Jutgla heads the resulting free over Bono's bar.
The Sevilla fans always create a wonderful atmosphere here and tonight is no different despite the wet conditions.
Xavi has only made one change to tonight's XI, with Piqué replacing Lenglet, who has this week been linked with a January move to Tottenham.
Sevilla are looking to record their fourth consecutive LaLiga win after their victory over Atlético Madrid at the weekend.
Araújo fouls Papu Gómez and it's a free for the home side as the rain comes pouring down in the Andalusian capital.
Barcelona show their intent early on. Dembélé picks it up on the right before crossing to the back post. Fernando heads it out for a corner.
Barcelona are playing from left to right as we watch it.
Barcelona get us underway in Seville!
The club's anthem blasts out around the stadium. It's a goosebumps moment for the home fans.
The players are in the tunnel of the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán!
Kick-off in Seville is just 20 minutes away!

Barça aiming for top four
Barça sit three points behind Rayo Vallecano, who are in the fourth place in LaLiga, the last place granted access to the next Champions League campaign.
But now Barcelona will play three away games on the bounce, the first of them against the always dangerous Sevilla, who are the second favorites for the league title, as the table shows, after Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid.
The hosts, who also were knocked out of the Champions League, have won their last three games in the league, against Villarreal, Athletic Club, and Atlético Madrid respectively.
Julen Lopetegui’s men have put distance between themselves and the chasing teams with a total of 37 points, six away from the top spot, although Madrid have played one game more.
Sevilla hoping to close gap on leaders Real Madrid
If Sevilla beat Barcelona in Seville tonight, they will move to within three points of Real Madrid at the top of the table.

Xavi insists Barcelona must keep young star Gavi
Xavi has declared it a priority for Barcelona to tie down their bright young stars to new contracts, to stave off the threat of other clubs pouncing.
Ahead of a clash with Sevilla on Tuesday that Xavi described as "a huge opportunity" for Barcelona, the head coach stressed his desire to keep hold of the players coming through the club's ranks.
They are set to form the backbone of Barcelona's first team for years to come, providing they can be retained, and already the club have made serious efforts in that regard.
Piqué comes in for Barcelona
Gerard Piqué comes back into the Barcelona team for Clément Lenglet but Barcelona are otherwise unchanged from the side who beat Elche 3-2 at the weekend.
