Many who have been to summer camp may have heard the song, which is commonly known as a campfire song. The song goes through the members of a family, described as sharks, showed to be an inspiration for the movie Jaws.

This included a deal with Kellogs to produce a cereal brand named after the song, which was launched in 2019.
