Sweden's Wallberg takes gold in men's freestyle skiing
The final of the men's moguls freestyle skiing has just concluded - and it's gold for Sweden's Walter Wallberg, with a score of 83.23. Wallberg is followed in second by Canada's Mikael Kingsbury, and in third by Japan's Ikuma Horishima.
Slovenia's Bogataj wins ski jumping gold
Slovenia's Ursa Bogataj has won gold in the women's normal hill ski jumping, with Germany's Katharina Althaus taking silver and another Slovenian, Nika Kriznar, claiming bronze.

Snowboarder White to retire after Beijing 2022
American snowboarder Shaun White has announced that he will retire after the Beijing Winter Olympics.
"It will be my last competition, which is pretty special," White said on Saturday.
The 35-year-old is a three-time Olympic champion, having won gold in half-pipe snowboarding at the 2006, 2010 and 2018 Winter Games.

Ski jumping final delayed
The final of the women's normal hill ski jumping event has been delayed slightly, from its original time of 6:35am ET (7:35pm local time) to 7am ET (8pm local time).
Next medal up for grabs: women's ski jumping
The women's normal hill ski jumping event is underway, with the recipient of Beijing 2022's fourth gold medal to be decided in a final round that is due to begin at 6:35am ET (6:35pm local time).
There's no Marita Kramer, of course, after the world's leading women's ski jumper tested positive for covid-19 just before the Games.

Norway now have their second gold medal at Beijing 2022: they've just won the biathlon mixed relay (4x6km), ahead of France and the ROC. The USA finished seventh.
Schouten shoots to speed skating gold
The Netherlands' Irene Schouten has claimed the second gold medal of the 2022 Winter Games, winning the women's 3000m speed skating with an Olympic-record time of 3:56.93. Italy's Francesca Lollobrigida has taken silver, with bronze going to Canada's Isabelle Weidemann. The USA's Mia Kilburg finished down in 19th.

Norway's Johaug takes first gold medal at Beijing 2022
Norway's Therese Johaug has claimed the first gold medal at the 2022 Winter Olympics, winning the women's 7.5km+7.5km skiathlon ahead of the ROC's Natalia Nepryaeva and Austria's Teresa Stadlober, in a time of 44:13.7.
The USA's Jessie Diggins finished just outside the medals, in sixth, with a time of 45:04.2.

Women's 7.5km+7.5km skiathlon underway
The first medal event of the 2022 Winter Olympics, the women's 7.5km+7.5km skiathlon, is now underway. The ROC's Natalia Nepryaeva and Sweden's Frida Karlsson are among the chief contenders for the gold medal, with the likes of Norway's Therese Johaug and Sweden's Ebba Andersson also in contention.
