Carlos Tevez on the radar of several clubs in MLS
The 38-year-old striker has been without a club since 1 July 2021, but several in Major League Soccer are keen on signing him ahead of the new campaign.
Carlos Tevez left Boca Juniors like a legend eight months ago and it seemed that he was ready to hang up his boots after a prolific playing career. At 38-years-old, though, he has some gas in the tank and he wants to make a return before officially calling it quits.
MLS could be his next destination
According to The Athletic and TyC Sports, DC United is in pole position to sign Carlos Tevez ahead of the start of 2022 Major League Soccer regular season. Per the report, there is a ‘25 percent’ chance that the deal gets done between both sides.
Other teams that are interested in approaching the veteran striker from Argentina are Minnesota United and Orlando City. Tevez could arrive to any team because he is a free agent, but negotiations could stall depending on his salary demands and contract length.
Last summer Tevez was linked with a move to Atlanta United, but then-head coach Gabriel Heinze denied the reports. If DC United is able to reach an agreement with Carlos Tevez, he would be the biggest start to arrive to the capital of the US since Wayne Rooney.
