Spotify and Barcelona close to signing sponsorship deal
The music giant and Barça are set to finalise a three-year deal worth €280 million.
FC Barcelona and Swedish music streaming company Spotify are in the final stages of negotiating a major sponsorship deal which, according to RAC1, could be announced as early as this week.
The deal will provide a much-needed economic injection into the club over the next three seasons. Barcelona are set to earn €280 million or €93 million per season. The agreement includes the main sponsorship of the men's shirt, the women's shirt, the training shirt and the name of the stadium, which will be called Camp Nou Spotify.
Spotify will replace current sponsor Rakuten, whose deal ends on 30 June. Barça was earning €55 million per year with the Japanese firm. Barça femení have been sponsored by the American brand Stanley, which offers €3.5 million.

The agreement with Spotify, who are led by billionaire owner Daniel Ek also includes the company's logo on the sleeve of the men's first-team shirt and advertising on the training shirt, which is currently sponsored by Turkish company Beko, who pay €10 million per year.
The main sponsor difference this time around is the agreement to rename the stadium. Spotify management were in Barcelona over the weekend and were invited to visit Camp Nou and finalise talks on the three-year deal.
