Harden and Embiid will be an elite duo for the 76ers

If anyone knows how difficult it will be to stop the elite duo of James Harden and Joel Embiid, it's Georges Niang. When Niang played for the Utah Jazz, he recalls having to create a whole game plan to defend against Harden when he was part of the Houston Rockets, who would consistently beat the Jazz in the playoffs.

“I was telling Joel the other day, ‘when I was in Utah, we had like a whole game plan to defend you and a whole game plan to defend James," said Niang. "'Now they have to do that in one night.'"

The 76ers have an elite shooter and playmaker with Harden and Joel Embiid knows how to dominate in the paint. Together, the two will make it difficult for opponent's to stop the Sixers.

Niang reiterates that Harden is an elite player, "a basketball savant". After their 135-87 loss to the Boston Celtics on Tuesday, which was a pretty embarrassing loss to be sure, Niang is convinced that had Harden been there, they wouldn't have had a problem.

"You need two guys to guard James Harden. Would Boston be able to send five guys at Joel if James Harden was on the floor?"

"I think all of us know what we have waiting in the arsenal."
