Champions League: Salzburg report 15 covid cases ahead of Bayern return leg
The Austrian Bundesliga leaders said that 15 players and staff are in isolation in line with government guidance after a coronavirus outbreak.

Austrian Bundesliga leaders and reigning champions RB Salzburg on Wednesday reported a coronavirus outbreak affecting 15 members of the club’s playing and technical staff, two weeks ahead of their Champions League last 16 return leg away at Bayern Munich.
According to a club statement, those affected by the outbreak have reported light symptoms and are in quarantine in line with Austrian government guidelines. Salzburg’s training session on Wednesday was cancelled and players given a programme to work on at home instead.

Salzburg in action against LASK on Sunday
The cases all came to light during a two-day rest period for the squad, with the club now tightening hygiene and distancing protocols such as closing training to the public.
Salzburg are next in action against LASK in the league on Sunday, with the trip to Bayern scheduled for 8 March.
