The must-watch college basketball March madness is right around the corner, with 68 teams competing in seven rounds for the national championship.

The NCAA Division Basketball Tournament, which is a single-elimination tournament played in March-April annually in the United States, features college basketball teams from the Division I level of the NCAA, or the National Collegiate Athletic Association, to determine the national championship. With 32 Division I basketball conferences, the automatic bid for each of the leagues will occupy almost half of the 68-team field.

The Northeast Conference starts on February 28th, all the way up until the Big Ten title is set, just minutes before the Selection. Selection Sunday, will take place on March 13th, when the Selection Committee unveils the full tournament bracket, including all teams and seeds.

The madness starts with the first and second rounds, March 17-20. The following week, the field will see fewer teams, with the four regionals (like the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight) taking place on March 24-27. This year's Final Four is happening on April 2 in the Caesars Superdome with the national champion announced on April 4.
