The Milwaukee Bucks walked away with a late game winner in a thrilling contest that could be a playoff preview. Jrue Holiday sunk a floater with 1.9 to go, giving the Bucks the victory over the Miami Heat.
Heat's hot streak flames out
The Heat had come into the game rolling. They came into the game riding a four game win streak dating back to before the All-Star Break. The top team in the East came into the game knowing they are going through the meat grinder in the conference over the course of the next week have to play the Bucks, the Nets and then the Sixers.
The defending champs were going through a bit of a rough spell, but Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton called for calm as the top dog in the East came into town.
Giannis rode the pine for much of first half
Giannis got himself into trouble by picking up two quick fouls in the first five minutes and was forced to sit the bench for the better part of the opening 12 minutes. The Bucks responded on the shoulders of Khris Middleton and some hot shooting from the outside.
Early in the second quarter the Bucks had already hit eight three pointers and had stretched the lead out to double digits briefly, but the Heat came battling back. Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson caught fire from downtown to close the gap and even take the lead. Robinson made five of six threes in the first half while Herro posted 15 points in the second quarter. Herro, the home town kid would finish with 30 points on the night.
The two All-Stars were held quiet in the first half. Jimmy Butler had just six points while Giannis had 7 at the break, but the Greek wouldn’t take long to warm up. It’s crazy to think but he had 28 points and 17 rebounds, but for much of the game you would have though Giannis was having an off night.
Heroic comeback for the home team
Each of the quarter had runs from both teams who exchanged blows but neither team could land the knock out. Miami paid the price in the fourth quarter after leading 113-99, but couldn’t close the door on the Bucks. The defense extinguished the Heat's shooters and Giannis and Holiday took over. The tandem led the Bucks to a 21-6 run to finish the game,
A three from Middleton off a steal made it a one point game with 13 seconds to go and on the ensuing inbound the lob pass was swarmmed by Bucks defenders and a jump ball was called.
Giannis won the tip and Holiday did the rest from there, floating the game winner over the long arm of Bam Adebayo with 1.9 on the clock.
The Heat will continue at the top of the East, but have a tough road ahead with the Nets and Sixers awaiting. The Bucks meanwhile sit a game back from the Sixers and will look to carry the momentum to Chicago on Sunday.

MIami almost got called for the five second call, but Vincent called TO just in time
The Bucks have to try for a steal in the first five seconds. If they can't the foul must be commited before it's too late.
Giannis soard to the basket but missed the finger roll, but Middleton comes to the rescue with a steal and a pull up three ball. He's got 26 and we have a one point game with 13 seconds left.
Giannis hits two more FTs and cut the lead, but the Adebayo hits a mid range fader.
Herro with the long two point jumper and why wouldn't they go to him in the biggest moment of the game? He's got 30 points, and has been the hot hand all night.
Giannis went coast to coast after the missed three and almost hit the lay up after getting fouled. He was forced to earn the two points at the stripe, which is alway an adventure for the Greek. 14-2 MIL run.
Portis on the third attempt gets the put back to go and we've got a 4 point game.
Holiday with a clutch mid range jumper out of the timeout and what a great call that was from Budenholzer.
Adebayo with a much needed bucket, and what a difficult shot it was. Portis played great defense but the jump hook was too much from Adebayo.
The Holiday was ruled a three after review and that will cut the lead to six. 4 Minutes to play in the fourth.
Holiday drains the long two and it looks like the home team is starting a late charge to get back into this game once more. We said it before, no team has been able to stretch a lead out and keep a comfortable distance from the other side.

Giannis was triple teamed down low and still got an easy slam. He hasn't posted up too often today, but that may be what the Bucks need to do to get their star involved in the game.
Vincent with back to back threes and he's got 21 on five threes tonight. MIami has their largest lead of the night.
Vincent with the corner three ball and that stretches the lead back to double digits. Every time someone in this game has gone up by 10 or more, the other team quickly closes the gap.

The Heat got off to a quick start in the fourth quarter, but the Bucks respond, and after two made FTs from Giannis they trail by just 5 With under 9 to go.
Giannis on the put back following an offensive board, and Adebayo has to be asking his teammates where they were on the boards after playing so great defense.
We are at the end of the third quarter and the Heat started to pull away, but this is still anyone's game.
Herro finding some space down low open to feed Adebayo. Herro's three point shooting is starting to play a factor in how the Bucks play on defense.
Herro with a couple three balls from the deep corner and he's 5/6 from three point range and he's got 23 points.
Tucker drops a three ball in front of the Bucks bench and has a word or two for his old teammates chirpping at his from behind.
Both teams have had their runs, but no one has been able to pull away. It looks like we are headed for a tight 4th quarter.
PJ Tucker knows Giannis all too well after spending time and winning a title with Milwaukee. The Greek is struggling to get good looks and much of that is because of Tucker's strategy on D.
Matthews gives the Bucks the lead on his first triple try of the game and the MIL has all the momentum on a 14-4 run in this third quarter.
Allen getting up and showing the springs with a transition jam. He's got 9 and the Heat need a timeout. MIL are on an 11-2 run and trail by just 2.
Allen with an acrobatic finish at the rim. He's usually know for his three point shooting accuracy but the puts on a show on that dash to the dish.
Giannis finally gets the look he had been hoping to find. He slashes to the bucket in transition and finishes at the rim and gets the foul. He hit's the FT and he's into double digits not. MIL need to figure out a way to get Giannis more of those looks.
Vincent with three straight triples and just like that the Heat lead by 11. Bucks need a timeout after that scoring surge from Miami's sharp shooter.
Hoiday gets the floater, and if it's not going to be Giannis' night then Middleton will need some help from Holiday.
Vincent drains the three ball, and that makes Miami the first team ever to have five different players to make 100+ threes.

Herro has 17 points, 15 came in the second quarter, while Robinson had 15 on 5/6 shooting from behind the arc.

We are 13 minutes into the game and the Bucks already have 8 three pointers.

Giannis hits the fade away buzzer beater and the Greek ends the first quarter with 7 points. The Bucks looked like they didn't need their two time MVP, they stretched the lead out to double digits with Giannis on the bench.
Giannis is back in the game with two minutes to go in the first, and two early fouls. Coach Budenholzer has to hope he can play honest defense for the next 5-7 minutes.
The Bucks had gone cold, but Ibaka comes to the rescue and breaks the scoreless spell. He's going to be a big addition, and not just on the defensive end. He's a rebounder, and a scorer if he gets around the basket.

Giannis has just been called for his second foul in the first five minutes of the game. They might be down nine, but this couldn't not have gone any better for Miami having Giannis in foul trouble early on.
If it's not Giannis, it's Middleton hurting you, and what a transformation for Middleton. He used to be a spot up shooter, but he has evolved into a fantastic off the dribble scorer. As I'm typing that he spots up from three point range. He's got 7 already.
Giannis drops a three ball, and that could be a troubling sign for Miami if he starts to hit from downtown.
Robinson with his first three ball, and how important is he for this Miami offense? He opens up all kinds of space down low with his sharp shoot from downtown.
Miami's defense is going to be key tonight. How do go about stopping Giannis? And if you stop him can you stop Middleton?

The Bucks will be with out Brook Lopez as they have all season long, but will also be missing Pat Connaughton who has an injured right hand. George Hill will also miss tonight with a neck injury.

Markieff Morris and Kyle Lowry are both questionable coming into tonight. Morris is trying to recover from a neck injury while Lowry is dealing with some personal matters.
Miami entering Ring of Fire in East
The Heat have been sweltering over the last four games, but will now square up against the cream of the crop in the Eastern Conference. After tonight Miami will play the Nets in Brooklyn and then return home to take on the 76ers on Saturday.
Bucks bounce back after rough restart
The Bucks snapped a two game skid with a 130-106 win over the Hornets on Monday. They were without Brook Lopez as they have been all season, but still dragged down 72 rebounds in the thumping win over Charlotte.
Heat have been hot
The Heat are coming off a statement game against the Chicago Bulls on Monday night. They took down the second placed Bulls 112-99 at home to secure the their fifth straight win and ninth in their last eleven games.
