Top corner effort from the Argentine....nothing Alisson could do about that....
Gooooooooool. Lautaro pulls Inter back into this tie with a screamer.
Çalhanoğlu is Inter's danger man at the moment with the Turkish international playing some excellet passes....
We've not seen the best version of Argentine striker Lautaro this evening. The striker is being bossed by Van Dijk as Inter win a corner.
What a blistering pace to the second half as both sides create openings. An Inter goal and it's very much 'game-on', a goal for Klopp's men and it's curtains one would feel for the Nerazzuri.
Great work from Thiago as he almost slips Jota in... Inter keeper pushes the ball to Salah who hits the woodwork with the goal at his mercy.

Team news reminder for those just joining us ......
As things stand, Liverpool are fourth favourites to lift the trophy in Paris next May with Man City, Bayern Munich and PSG cited as clubs most likely to win the 2021-22 competition according to the bookmakers.
This is the first week of the Round of 16 games with more UCL ties to take place next week with the quarter-final and semi-final draw set to take place at UEFA HQ on Friday 18, March. Will Liverpool or Inter be in the mix ....
Give Peace a Chance
Very poignant as John Lennon's 'Give Peace a Chance' plays at Anfield over the PA system !
Tonight's other UCL Round of 16 second leg clash takes place in Munich as Bayern face Salzburg with the first leg ending 1-1 in Austria a fortnight ago. With the exception of the Man City-Sporting CP clash (5-0 in Lisbon), all other games remain reasonably n the balance ahead of the second legs.
50 UCL games for Mane
Sadio Mane celebrates his 50th Champions League appearance for Liverpool tonight, becoming just the 6th LFC player to reach this milestone.
Inter arrive at Anfield having drubbed Salernitana 5-0 in Serie A last Friday, the attacking partnership of Lautaro Martínez (3) and Edin Dzeko (2) accounting for all of the Nerazzurri’s goals. However, that result was a first win in five league games for Simone Inzaghi’s side, who are locked in a tussle with AC Milan at the top of the table. Dzeko knows a little about scoring against Liverpool, having found the net in his last three games against the Premier League side, who in turn have conceded in their last four away fixtures in the Champions League.

Team news: Liverpool
Having said that, one feels that an early goal for the Premier League would certainly put the tie out of reach for the Italian side.
Inter will desperately seek an early goal to revive the tie with Liverpool holding a commanding 2-0 lead over Serie A title challengers. Not a scoreline that traditionally bodes well for the side on the other end of it in European competition, as Jürgen Klopp noted before the game.
Klopp on Inter
Klopp is a man who wears his heart on his sleeve and despite Liverpool's aggregate lead, and imposing record in the Champions League this season of played seven, won seven, the Liverpool boss is taking nothing for granted against the Italian champions.
"It's a danger everyone knows about: it's a lead that gets turned over the most in the history of football, I think. It's a much better result than we expected if I'm honest. The game didn't look like we would win it 2-0 for most of it. It is a tough tie and was a really difficult game. We knew they had quality but now we know they have real quality,” Klopp said in his pre-match press conference.
Liverpool hold a 2-0 advantage from the reverse fixture at San Siro, where Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah struck late to give Jürgen Klopp's side an edge going into tonight's encounter. However, with away goals counting for nothing this season, Inter will be confident of rattling the Kop with Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martínez having warmed up for this one by putting five past Salernitana between them in Serie A at the weekend.
