Drake and 21 Savage will be heading out for the ‘It’s All a Blur Tour’ later this year, but it looks as though the latter won’t be performing at every show.

Why 21 Savage will miss some dates

The tour is scheduled to begin on June 16 at the Smoothie King Centre in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The tour will also head to Canada for dates in Montreal on July 14 and 15, and Vancouver on August 28 and 29. Details of a stop in Drake’s hometown of Toronto have yet to be announced.

21 Savage isn’t listed on Ticketmaster’s page for the Canadian shows, or the websites for the venues (Rogers Arena and Bell Centre).

That’s because 21 Savage won’t be appearing on those dates according to a source. The rapper has an immigration and legal issue that could prevent him from entering the country.

Back in 2019, 21 Savage was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after it was revealed that he, a citizen of the United Kingdom, overstayed an H-4 visa that expired in 2006. The case is still pending.

Later, it was revealed that 21 Savage was also charged with gun and drug possession charges related to the initial arrest.

The rapper and his lawyers claim that police made an “unlawful” arrest, as they had no reason to stop him giving he was doing nothing wrong. A gun was found in the car, but 21 Savage says “there was no illegality for the weapon to be in the car.”

Although it doesn’t seem likely at this point, fans will be hoping for a repeat of what happened at the Young Money reunion in Toronto last year.

Lil Wayne was expected to miss the event after being held up at the border, only for him to make the show and appear alongside Drake and Nicki Minaj.

Drake and 21 Savage’s album

Drake’s upcoming tour is his first since headlining ‘Aubrey & the Three Migos Tour’ back in 2018.

It also comes after he and 21 Savage released the collaborative album ‘Her Loss’ on November 4, 2022.

The album, which also features a guest appearance from Travis Scott, debuted at number one on the Canadian Albums and US Billboard 200 charts.
