54th NAACP Image Awards: Top red carpet fashion, great looks and best dressed celebrities

The 54th NAACP Image Awards were held on Saturday, and all eyes were on the red carpet. Many celebrities dazzled with statement looks and other runway-worthy pieces.

Here are some of the best dressed celebrities at the event.

Zendaya

Zendaya turned heads in a strapless form-fitting dress with a plunging neckline and a thigh-high slit. The piece is black, but stands out with neon green accents.

The actress also wore a classic pair of black heels, and her hair was styled in wavy voluminous locks.

Her accessories were kept minimal with dangling earrings, a silver bracelet and matching ring. Her makeup was also kept modest with a light pink blush, black mascara and bronze shadow around her eyes.

Serena Williams

Serena Williams wore an elegant fitted and long-sleeved black velvet dress. She had a thigh-high slit and her dress had a sweeping train.

It was complemented with black heels adorning rhinestone embellishments and accessorized with a diamond necklace, sparkling rings and dangly earrings.

The professional tennis player wore her hair curly with the standout element of her makeup being a bold, bright lip.

Angela Bassett

Angela Bassett made a statement by wearing a white pantsuit with a v-neckline, and puffy embellishments at her elbows. The bottom half of her outfit falls all the way down to the floor, concealing her shoes.

Her accessories included dangly earrings and a silver clutch purse, while her hair was in light curls and bangs.

Kerry Washington

Kerry Washington wore a strapless black dress with wrapped detailing on the left side, secured by a large gold piece, and a thigh-high slit. A semi-sheer top was also worn underneath the dress.

She paired the outfit with rhinestone-covered heels and accessorized with asymmetrical silver earrings while her hair was kept straight.
