All the celebrities at the coronation ceremony
Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Emma Thompson were among the celebrities present at the coronation ceremony.

King Charles III’s coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey held 2000 guests, including the members of the royal family themselves, foreign royals, leaders of countries, and even the familiar faces of a number of big-name celebrities, from actors to musicians.
While there was plenty of British talent among the guests on Saturday, the celebrity guest list also included American stars Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, who will be performing at the coronation concert on Sunday, May 7.
Katy Perry
Katy Perry arrived at the coronation ceremony with British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Kobina Enninful. Enninful wore a bespoke morning suit created by Campbell Carey from Savile Row tailoring house, Huntsman.
The pop star, meanwhile, paid homage to British fashion by wearing head-to-toe Vivienne Westwood. She sported a lavender ensemble, consisting of a button-up blouse and pencil skirt, which she accessorized with lavender opera gloves, a Three Row Pearl Bas Relief Choker, the Granny Frame Pearl Handbag, and a stunning lavender mesh round fascinator.
Some noticed that Perry seemed to have trouble finding her seat in Westminster Abbey, which instantly became a meme on social media.

Perry recently spoke about her excitement to be a part of the weekend’s festivities, and also for being granted the opportunity to stay at Windsor Castle.
“I am excited to be performing at the Coronation Concert, and helping to shine a further light on the British Asian Trust’s Children’s Protection Fund, whose work includes on-ground initiatives to fundraising, with the aim to find solutions to child trafficking,” Perry said in a statement.
Lionel Richie
Lionel Richie, Perry’s fellow ‘American Idol’ host and co-headlining act at tomorrow’s coronation concert, arrived in a dapper three-piece morning suit, gray pinstripe pants, a gold tie, and a top hat.
On performing at the coronation concert, he said, “To share the stage with the other performers at The Coronation Concert is a once-in-a-lifetime event and it will be an honor and a celebration.”

Members of the British acting royalty
Dame Emma Thompson wore a red Emilia Wickstead-designed coat, emblazoned with roses and adorned with her medals, over top of a simple knee-length black dress.
Dame Judy Dench was also on the guest list, wearing a gray suit dress with a matching hat, along with Dame Maggie Smith, who wore a sky-blue colored ensemble.
And while the Spice Girls turned down an invitation to perform at the coronation concert, Mel B was invited to watch the ceremony, wearing a Badgley Mischka gown with a jeweled neckline.
American first lady Jill Biden wore a blue Ralph Lauren look to the coronation, and her granddaughter Finnegan Biden wore a yellow Markarian gown.
