Are BLACKPINK’s Jennie and BTS’ V dating?
The two K-pop idols were spotted holding hands in Paris.
Jennie and V (Kim Tae-hyung), two members of K-pop’s biggest groups, BLACKPINK and BTS, have reportedly been spotted in Paris holding hands.
After over a year of dating rumors surrounding the two idols, they may have finally confirmed their relationship.
A French journalist uploaded the video of the two enjoying a stroll around the Seine River in Paris on his TikTok account.
Over a year of speculation on Jennie and V’s relationship status
Relationship rumors began surrounding the two K-pop idols back in December 2021, when keen fans noticed that V appeared to accidentally follow Jennie on Instagram, before quickly unfollowing her.
Then in May 2022, a photo was leaked that showed V driving a car on Jeju Island with someone who looks like Jennie in the passenger seat.
K-pop news outlet Soompi reached out to YG Entertainment, who manages Jennie, for comment who only said:
“We have nothing to say [regarding this matter],” and added, “We will inform you if we have a different response to share.”
This occurred again throughout August and September when more pictures of Jennie and V from that trip and other locations were leaked online, and this time, YG took more affirmative action.
“We have officially requested the police to investigate who first circulated Blackpink Jennie’s personal photos,” the company said in a statement last October.
“YG has been consistently monitoring the matter and filed a lawsuit in September after collecting information. We have refrained from mentioning the matter or making an official statement in order to minimize any further damage.”
YG then said they were taking legal action against those who distribute the private photos.
Fans are happy for Jennie and V
Meanwhile, fans have reacted to the new Paris video by supporting the couple and sharing their excitement at the news that they seemingly confirmed their relationship, even going so far as to create a new relationship name for the two– “Taennie”.
“Taehyung and Jennie in Paris walking hand in hand in the City of Love this is def them!! They’re so much in LOVE. TAENNIEEE MY HEART,” said one fan.
“True or not, not gonna lie this made me emotional for a second. All the kpop idols deserve to be like this in public whenever they want,” one fan shared on Twitter.
“CRYING. MY BIAS,” another fan wrote on the TikTok video.
