‘Breaking Bad’ stars reunite for Super Bowl LVII ad
Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are joining forces for a PopCorners Super Bowl ad directed by Vince Gilligan.
Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are back at it again, this time reuniting as their Breaking Bad characters for a Super Bowl LVII commercial.
The duo will reprise their roles as Walter White and Jesse Pinkman for PopCorners. They’ll be joined by ‘Breaking Bad’ creator Vince Gilligan, who will write and direct the ad.
The ad shows Walt and Jesse back in their iconic ‘Breaking Bad’ RV cooking up their latest concoction - a batch of air-popped snacks. As Jesse marvels over Walt’s latest creation, he reminds him: “No, we don’t eat our own supply.”
“Everyone’s going to want a taste,” Jesse says. “And I know just the guy to talk to.”
Another ‘Breaking Bad’ alum join in
Walt and Jesse then pay a visit to Tuco Salamanca (played by Raymond Cruz), who suspiciously grabs the snack from Jesse before exclaiming: “Tight! Tight! Tight!.”
After Walt orders Tuco to “Say. Their. Name.”, Tuco samples one before threatening them into offering seven flavors instead of six.
“We’re going to eat a lot of snacks together,” Tuco says gleefully as the spot ends.
Other celebrities set to appear in Super Bowl LVII commercials
Cranston and Paul aren’t the only celebrities set to appear in commericals for Super Bowl LVII. Miles Teller will feature in a Bud Light commercial with wife Keleigh Sperry and their six-year old French bulldog, Bugsy.
The ad sees Keleigh placed on hold during a phone call, which inspires Teller to get a couple of beers and dance along with the rhythm. Keleigh then joins in, along with Bugsy, to complete the light-hearted ad.
Michelob Ultra are releasing a commercial that pays homage to ‘Caddyshack’. The ad features Serena Williams and Brian Cox, as well as Jimmy Butler, Alex Morgan, Tony Romo, Nneka Ogwumike, and Canelo Alvarez.
Melissa McCarthy and husband Ben Falcone are teaming up with digital travel app Booking.com for their commercial, dubbed “Somewhere, Anywhere.”
The commercial sees McCarthy daydream about travelling to various destinations while laying in bed scrolling through Booking.com.
“I’m going to somewhere, anywhere - a beach house, a treehouse - honestly, I don’t care,” she sings.
She is transported to a beachside cottage, as well as a luxury hotel where she lounges poolside, admiring the “sexy gardener” that is played by her husband.
