Bruce Springsteen tour: “an American spring of rock and rebellion”

“Come out and join the United Free Republic of E Street nation for an American spring of rock and rebellion,” said Bruce Springsteen in a video posted on Instagram to announce the upcoming ‘Land of Hope and Dreams’ American tour. The Boss and his band will put on 20 shows in a dozen states from coast to coast.

“Brothers and sisters, fans, friends and good folks from coast to coast, we are living through dark, disturbing and dangerous times,” The Boss said in the video. “But do not despair, the calvary is coming.”

“We will be rocking your town in celebration and in defense of America, American democracy, American freedom, our American constitution and our sacred American dream. All of which are under attack by our wannabe king and his rogue government in Washington, D.C.,” he continued. “Everyone, regardless of where you stand or what you believe in, is welcome.”

The tour will kick off in the wake of the latest nationwide ‘No Kings’ protest with a concert on 31 March in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a city for which he penned a ICE protest song, ‘Streets of Minneapolis’, at the end of January. The ‘Land of Hope and Dreams’ tour will wrap up in Washington, D.C. on 27 May.
