Did a Swedish DJ just accidentally reveal that a new Taylor Swift album is in the making? Swifties are losing their minds
Jacob Criborn, a member of Swedish DJ collective Nause let slip that his team might be working on Taylor Swift’s 12th studio album.

When it comes to keeping the biggest projects under wraps, the music industry is notoriously secretive. Whatever rumors might be doing the rounds, musicians, producers and collaborators and everyone else involved are usually bound to secrecy - obliged to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDA).
Record companies don’t want too much information coming out in the press - or anything that could potentially damage their marketing plans. The NDAs are to safeguard private, professional, and creative information from becoming public knowledge.

Swedish DJ working with on Taylor Swift’s new songs?
But obviously, in an imperfect world, sometimes things get leaked, accidentally or not. Could Swedish producer Jacob Criborn have inadvertently let the cat out of the bag about Taylor Swift’s next album?
Swifties have been desperate for news about what the singer has been up to since winding up her smash Eras Tour back in December. This week Spotify announced that Taylor is the first artist in history to have five albums with over 9 billion streams each on the streaming platform. But is there any new material in the pipeline?
Criborn, part of Swedish DJ collective Nause, was recently interviewed by Universal Music Group Sweden and asked about the inspiration behind his remix of Lasse Holm’s 1986 Hi-NRG disco banger Canelloni, Macaroni (Pizzeria Fantasia).

He mentioned Stockholm-based arranger, violinist and multi-instrumentalist Erik Arvinder, who has worked with Lady Gaga, Demi Lovato, Harry Styles, Ariana Grande, Ellie Goulding and Ed Sheeran among others, although he has never worked with Swift.
“He did a string arrangement of 25. He got some brass guys playing trumpet, saxophone, trombone,” Criborn explained. “And they were like, ‘We’re just going to finish Taylor Swift’s record and then we’ll jump on ‘Canelloni.‘’ No, but we really kind of pushed for this song because it deserves it.”
The Instagram post was hastily taken down, but not before Swift fans had captured and shared it.
The original versions of the albums that Taylor Swift re-recorded are now hidden on her Apple Music profile.

Two ‘Taylor’s versions’ still to be re-recorded
Fans are still waiting for Taylor Swift’s final two “Taylor’s Version” re-recordings: remakes of her self-titled debut and Reputation. Whether Arvinder was referring to one of the two or not is anyone’s guess.
Producer Jack Antonoff gave the biggest hint that Taylor is busy putting together a new studio album, telling Entertainment Weekly: “She’s effortlessly working with a new idea every other second in her brain.”
