Disney World gives tourists one of the most unexpected announcements of the year
The Sunshine State may not be living up to its name as a big chill impacts many parts of Florida.


With Spring break imminent, many are preparing trips to sunnier climes with families across the country plotting trips to two of Orlando’s major tourist attractions in Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort.
However, mother nature had different ideas recently as an uncharacteristic cold snap forced both parks to close key attractions last week.

Just a fortnight ago, reports indicated that the major resorts in Orlando might have to shut their gates once again. Late in 2024 both Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort were forced to temporarily close their water theme parks, Disney’s Blizzard Beach and Universal’s Volcano Bay as a result of an intense arctic cold front which swept through Florida.
