When it comes to gambling, the NFL makes up nearly half of all sports bets place in the United States every year and the Super Bowl, as expected, is the biggest draw. According to the American Gaming Association, around $1.8 billion will be legally wagered on this year’s contest between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks.

And one of the major celebrity gamblers, Drake, has placed a million bet on who he thinks will be lifting the Lombary trophy in California later today.

The rapper has a reputation for making the wrong call with his high stake bets. Last June, he admitted splashing out $124,527,265 in one month and ended $8,235,686 down. Among the many bets and roulette spins was a wager on Game 6 of the NBA Finals - Drake was certain that the Thunder would win, and bet $800,000... they lost, and so did he. “Gotta share the other side of gambling. Losses are so fried right now,” was his philosophical take on losing $8 million in just one month.

In an Instagram post on the eve of Super Bowl LX, Drake revealed that he has placed a $1 million bet on the Patriots to win. If Mike Vrabel’s men prevail, lifting the trophy for the first time since 2018, Drake will score a tidy $2.95 million windfall.
