The Spanish actress says she has reached her limit after months of claims about her private life spread online.
Ester Expósito’s patience appears to have run out. After months of being in the spotlight because of her relationship with Real Madrid soccer star Kylian Mbappé, the actress has decided to publicly respond to reports about her private life that she says have been spread without any basis. In a statement shared on Instagram, she made clear that she is no longer willing to tolerate what she describes as false and damaging coverage.
Ester Expósito denies “false and defamatory” claims
Expósito said that, particularly in recent days, social media platforms have been filled with stories about her that she believes have no basis in reality.
“In recent months and especially these days, false and defamatory headlines and information about me and my personal life have circulated on social media that have nothing to do with reality or who I am,” the Madrid-born actress wrote.
Rumors spread on social media
In recent days, several accounts on social media, especially on X, had shared claims about Expósito’s previous relationships, including her former romance with Mexican actor Alejandro Speitzer.
Some posts also included unsupported accusations about alleged financial or property-related demands being involved in past breakups. Those claims quickly spread online despite having no evidence behind them.
Actress says she will take legal action
Expósito, who rose to international fame through Netflix’s Élite, appears determined to draw a line under the controversy.
“I don’t think everything is allowed, and this time I am forced to set a limit here and take legal action against those responsible,” she said in her statement.
The actress has now left the matter in the hands of her legal team as she seeks a response to what she considers defamatory claims about her private life.
