Update:
The 48-year-old actress has welcomed a son and daughter into the world.

Hilary Swank has given birth to fraternal twins, as the actress posted the news to Instagram late Sunday night.

The Academy award-winning actress welcomed her son and daughter with her husband, Philip Schneider. The couple began dating in 2016 and got married in August 2018.

The arrival of Hilary Swank’s twins

Hilary Swank posted a stunning sunset photo of herself from behind wearing a warm, fuzzy robe and gazing out at the ocean under a brazen sky, holding an infant in each arm.

“It wasn’t easy. But boy (and girl!) was it worth it,” Swank wrote in the caption. “Happy Easter!”

“Posting from pure Heaven.”

An uproar in Hollywood

The ‘Freedom Writers’ star’s many celebrity friends sent their congratulations and encouragement, including Sharon Stone, Kate Hudson, Viola Davis, Debra Messing, Katie Couric, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Mariska Hargitay.

“God bless honey,” Sharon Stone wrote. “This is the most extraordinary journey ever. so happy for you all.”

Looking forward to the twins’ arrival

Swank first announced her pregnancy in October 2022 when she appeared on ‘Good Morning America’.

“This is something that I’ve been wanting for a long time and my next thing is I’m gonna be a mom,” Swank said at the time. “And not just of one, but of two. I can’t believe it.”

Soon after that, Swank went on the ‘Live with Kelly and Ryan’ show and commented on the progress of her pregnancy.

“I’m feeling great right now, even with the time, you know, I’m on Pacific time, so I’m a little cross-eyed with that. But I’m feeling good right now,” the actress told Kelly and Ryan.

In January, Swank posted footage for her fans to demonstrate that she is still keeping up with her workout routine though her pregnancy is well along — and asked them if they think she should deliver the babies to Salt-N-Pepa’s song, ‘Push It’.

“Me and Da Babes workin’ out,” she wrote in the caption. “Been a lonnnnnnng time since #FitnessFriday.”
