On August 20, Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck after two years of marriage. Although the date of separation dates back to April, the singer filed the legal documents on the second anniversary of her second wedding ceremony with the actor.
The couple tied the knot in Las Vegas on July 16, 2022, but it was on August 20 that they held a second, larger wedding ceremony in Georgia.
According to TMZ, which has seen legal documents filed by the singer, JLo has not indicated whether there was a prenuptial agreement. If they didn’t have one, any profit or gain that the two have earned during their nearly two years of marriage is joint property and they will have to agree on how to divide it.
According to the documents, Jennifer waived spousal support and has asked the judge to deny it to Ben as well. After the latest separation, JLo adds another divorce to her romantic history.
