A six-figure cash prize is once again up for grabs in the latest instalment of the US reality-TV show The Voice, whose 26th season is set for its premiere.

What does The Voice winner get?

A singing contest that debuted on American small screens in 2011, The Voice offers its winner prize money of $100,000, as well as a contract with the record label Universal Music Group.

Mentored by a group of celebrity coaches - this season, they will be Michael Bublé, Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg and Gwen Stefani - The Voice’s contestants will look to progress from the ‘blind auditions’ at the start of the season, all the way through to the competition finale.

In the end, one unforgettable new singer will be crowned The Voice,” NBC says.

Who won season 25 of The Voice?

This season’s contestants will be competing to succeed Asher HaVon as the reality show’s champion. Coached by McEntire, HaVon became The Voice’s first openly LGBTQ+ winner when he beat Josh Sanders - also mentored by the country legend - to the crown in May.

When does The Voice season 26 premiere in the US?

The first episode of the new season of The Voice is due to air today, Monday September 23, 2024, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

Viewers in the US can watch the Emmy Award-winning show on NBC, while subscribers to Peacock can catch every episode the day after it is first broadcast. NBC will also be airing the season premiere at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Friday September 27.
