On the latest episode of ‘The Howard Stern Show,’ Howard Stern said he is almost entirely convinced that Rihanna lip-synced her Super Bowl halftime performance.

Rumors of Rihanna lip-syncing aren’t new, as fans online began speculating whether the star lip-synced soon after her performance concluded. However, beyond the vocals, the performance was widely well-received and praised.

Howard Stern’s opinion

However, Stern wasn’t too fond of the halftime show himself. When a caller on the show asked if he thought she was lip-syncing, he didn’t hold back.

“Of course she was. You know, I don’t even know why she bothered showing up. I gotta tell you. I love Rihanna’s voice. I think it’s a wonderful voice,” said Stern.

Co-host Robin Quivers interjected saying: “Yeah. She’s got a great voice.”

Stern continued his criticism: “And I love how she interprets a song and every song they played there behind her was terrific.

“There was one point where she was singing toward the end of the performance when she actually was on the stage with the band - she was singing whatever song that was.

“But I would say now, again, I could be wrong, but I - in my opinion, 85 percent of that was lip-sync.”

Stern later added what it was that he believes shows Rihanna wasn’t singing.

“Well, the big giveaway -- the big giveaway might be when she puts the microphone down by her knees and her lips aren’t moving. And the other voices are going,” he said.

Other viewer’s opinions

Stern isn’t the only one to poke fun at Rihanna’s suspected lip-syncing. Many viewers quickly went to Twitter after the performance to voice their opinion on the matter.

Some also claimed only some parts of her performance were lip-synced and some were sung live.
