Is Taylor Swift going to attend SNF’s Chiefs vs Jets and if so why is that good news for the NFL?
After causing quite a stir at the Chiefs’ last game, it seems that the pop star hasn’t got enough of football, or perhaps a certain tight end who plays it.
As rumors continue to circulate about the idea that the pop star and star tight end are in fact dating, it goes without saying that should she attend the Chiefs game on Sunday, the chatter will only intensify.
Taylor Swift to attend Chiefs vs Jets
As you probably know, tongues are still wagging about the fact that pop star Taylor Swift attended the Kansas City Chiefs Week 3 game at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City last weekend. Seated next to Donna Kelce, the mother of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, Swift could be seen taking in the action and even had a funny NSFW reaction to Kelce scoring a touchdown. Of course, this all comes in the context of the crazy speculation we’ve seen about whether the pair are dating.

With that said, it appears Swift is set to make another appearance at a Chiefs game, as reports indicate she will be present for the team’s clash with the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium on Sunday night. This of course is good news for the NFL as the game that Swift previously attended - Chiefs vs. Bears - was the No. 1 game of the week. To put things in perspective, not only did sales of Kelce’s jersey spike by an incredible 400%, but an entirely new market segment was tapped, with female viewers aged 12-17 increasing by 8% compared with last year. On the whole, there was a jump in female viewership across all major demographics. Logically, we can expect more of the same this Sunday as both NFL fans and ‘Swifties’ alike will be tuning in to watch. Whether they’re dating or not, one has to imagine the idea that they are is good for business.
So, what do we know so far about Swift & Kelce
To be honest, not a whole lot. Though Kelce has spoken to some extent about Swift and the effect that his association with her has had on his life, neither has given any official comment about whether they are now in fact an item. On the other hand, if we read the signs it certainly looks that way. Firstly, we’ve got the fact that the “Shake It Off” singer was sitting with Kelce’s mom. Not on her own or with friends, but with his mom.
Then, we’ve got Patrick Mahomes’ cheeky response to a question about the pressure from ‘Swifties’ following the win against the Bears. “Yeah, I heard she was in the house. I felt a little bit of pressure. So I knew I had to get it to Trav,” Mahomes said. “I think he wanted to get in the end zone just as much as all the ‘Swifties’ wanted him to.” We’ve also got the fact that the pair were seen leaving the stadium together before being spotted once again in a convertible. Lastly, there were reports that indicated Kelce rented out a restaurant for a private party with Swift and his teammates. You be the judge.
