It’s not Timothée Chalamet or Zendaya: This is “the last movie star”, according to Sean Penn
Speaking on The Louis Theroux Podcast this week, Sean Penn discussed a number of fellow Hollywood actors.

Sean Penn has lauded fellow Oscar-winning actor Jennifer Lawrence as “probably the last movie star”.
“I think the movie star manufacturer ran out around Jennifer Lawrence time or something,” Penn told an interview on The Louis Theroux Podcast this week.
Penn also had words of praise for Hollywood legend Tom Cruise - but had less to say when asked about A Complete Unknown lead Timothée Chalamet, admitting: “I actually haven’t seen his movies yet.”
“Best stuntman in the movie world”
Discussing Cruise, Penn declared: “He is a guy who pursues excellence on a very high level […]. This is a very good actor who’s also an extraordinarily committed craftsman”.
Penn, a two-time recipient of the Oscar for Best Actor, added that Cruise, who is known for performing his own stunts, is “probably the best stuntman in the movie world”.
Cruise serves up more death-defying sequences in the latest Mission: Impossible movie, The Final Reckoning, which had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday.
The eighth - and possibly the last - M:I film, the Final Reckoning is out in U.S. movie theaters on Friday, May 23.

Lawrence’s latest film, Die, My Love, was likewise given its global premiere in Cannes this week.
Also starring Robert Pattinson, the psychological drama does not yet have a distributor in the U.S., per Variety.
