James Ransone dies aged 46: what was cause of death of actor in The Wire, It and Sinister?
The American actor and musician passed away on Friday, December 19.

Sad news for the film industry: American actor James Ransone died last Friday, December 19, at the age of just 46. According to medical examiners following an autopsy, the cause of death was reported to be suicide.
Ransone had recently appeared in Black Phone 2, the horror sequel starring Ethan Hawke. His career began in the early 2000s, when he worked on projects such as The Astronaut, Ken Park, Law & Order, and Ed, among others. His breakthrough came in 2003, when he played Ziggy Sobotka in The Wire, widely regarded as one of the greatest television series of all time.

Later, in 2005, he portrayed Zack Capola in CSI. After nearly 25 years working in film and television, his résumé included dozens of series and movies. His most widely known role in recent years came with It: Chapter Two, in which he played Eddie Kaspbrak.
