Jamie Foxx: response to rumor that COVID-19 vaccine caused his hospitalization
The actor’s representative has come out publicly following the viral theory that getting vaccinated for a recent film had made him seriously ill.
During an episode of Dr. Drew Pinsky’s ‘Ask Dr. Drew’ podcast, gossip columnist A.J. Benza made a statement suggesting that actor Jamie Foxx had experienced partial paralysis and blindness as a result of receiving a COVID-19 vaccine.
Benza, who had previously been employed by the New York Daily News, claimed that Foxx had been compelled to get vaccinated while working on a film. According to Benza, a source close to Foxx informed him that the actor had developed a blood clot, leading to a stroke. However, a publicist representing Foxx has since come out and contradicted Benza’s allegations, labeling them as “completely inaccurate” when speaking to NBC News.
Jamie Foxx hospitalization and recovery
According to Jamie Foxx’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, the 55-year-old Academy Award winner was urgently taken to a hospital in mid-April due to a “medical complication.”
Addressing the ongoing speculations surrounding her father’s health, Corinne recently confirmed that he had been discharged from the hospital for several weeks. Her statement came in response to reports suggesting that the actor’s family had feared the worst regarding his medical condition. Clarifying the situation, Corinne disclosed that her father had already been released from the hospital and was in the process of recovering.
She expressed her disappointment at the media’s exaggerated coverage and reassured well-wishers by sharing on Instagram, “Family update: It’s disheartening to witness the media frenzy. My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks now, steadily recovering. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thank you to everyone for their prayers and support!”
TMZ later reported that Jamie had checked into a physical rehabilitation center in Chicago. For his part, the actor has only addressed his health issue once to thank his fans for their support.
“Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed,” he wrote on Instagram in early May, adding emojis of praying hands, a red heart and a fox.
Regarding the details surrounding Jamie Foxx’s condition, specific information has not been disclosed. However, during an interview on the podcast ‘Valuetainment,’ former boxing champion Mike Tyson hinted at a possible explanation for what transpired.
The discussion revolved around Tyson’s biopic, in which Foxx is slated to portray the legendary boxer, and the host, Patrick Bet-David, inquired about the actor’s well-being. In response, Tyson expressed unease, stating, “It doesn’t feel right.” Bet-David remarked, “Something’s going on,” prompting Tyson to add, “Yeah, they said a stroke. I have no idea what happened to him.”
