Janet Jackson to be honored with ICON Award at the 2025 American Music Awards
Janet was the youngest of ten children in the Jackson family and has sold over 140 million albums during an illustrious career.

Janet Jackson is a global music icon, and her fame stems from a combination of immense talent, groundbreaking innovation, influential artistry, and her connection to legendary musical family, The Jacksons.
Having the family as a platform and access to the industry, after two low key studio offerings, Janet teamed up with producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis to deliver the Control album.
The album produced global hits such as: “What Have You Done for Me Lately,” “Nasty,” and “Control” and established her as a major musical force.
The follow up Rhythm Nation 1814 continued the success as Jackson developed as an artist with lyrics taking on a more socially aware angle.
