Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck back on the house hunt after pulling out of $34.5 million deal
JLo and Ben are looking for the perfect home, but can’t seem to settle on the right one.
Jennifer Lope and Ben Affleck are back in the market, after pulling out of their offer on the $34.5M mansion in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood in Los Angeles they had decided to make their family home.
The celebrity couple pulled out of the deal just days before signing the paperwork with no clear reason why. The home in question is a seven-bedroom mansion in the elite Rustic Canyon area.
The home that almost was
The property includes 13 bathrooms, has a six-car garage, a detached guest house, an outdoor kitchen, a wine cellar, and a dining room with an elegant home bar and fireplace. The master bedroom has a private balcony, and his-and-her bathrooms and closets.
53-year-old JLo and 50-year-old Affleck had reportedly looked into several other homes in that particular neighborhood, including a mansion twice the asking price of the one the couple is currently eyeing.
Strengthening family unity
The house hunt has been going on for over a year, aiming to find a comfortable family home for the couple, who married in 2022 after rekindling their relationship, and the five children they share between them.
The ‘Jenny From the Block’ singer and the ‘Goodwill Hunting’ actor have been making concerted efforts to bring their blended family together in the past year. JLo has 15-year-old twins with Marc Anthony, Max and Emme, while Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner share three children, 17-year-old Violet, 14-year-old Seraphina, and Samuel, who is 11.
The family birthday party
With Lopez’s twins turning 15-year-old in February, JLo and Affleck made a united front by having a family dinner party, with the ‘Love Don’t Cost a Thing’ singer posting a photo montage of family moments to social media.
The video shows a glimpse into the twin’s 15 years as Taylor Swift’s 2008 single, Fifteen’, sets the tone.
“Happy birthday to my beautiful, brilliant coconuts,” the singer and actress wrote in the caption. “I am so proud of you both in every single way. “You bring so much joy and happiness to my heart and soul. I love you beyond forever,” the ‘Shotgun Wedding’ actress gushed.
