Kanye (Ye) West is officially off Instagram… again.

The ‘Heartless’ rapper posted a photo to his account on April 18 of the Instagram deactivation page, with the confirmation on temporarily removing his account ready to be submitted.

Just after posting the screenshot, West’s Instagram account was officially deactivated.

His account deactivation comes after the American artist’s controversial past few years with the social media platform.

West attacks Pete Davidson

Back in February 2021 after his divorce from ex-wife Kim Kardashian, West took to the platform to take shots at her love life after their split.

This included countless posts, starting in January 2022 to August 2022, which targeted and threatened Kim’s then boyfriend, Pete Davidson.

In February 2022, West posted an old photo of him, Kid Cudi and Timothée Chalamet that featured Skete (Ye’s nickname for Davidson) crossed out in red.

He later posted asking fans to remind Kim of her “mistake”, posting a photo with the caption: “”IF YOU SEE SKETE IN REAL LIFE SCREAM AT YHE LOOSER AT THE TOP OF YOUR LUNGS AND SAY KIMYE FOREVER.”

After a few weeks of receiving threats from his fans, Kim reached out to West in a text that read: “U are creating a dangerous and scary environment and someone will hurt Pete and this will all be your fault.”

The rapper then posted the screenshot and captioned the Instagram post, “UPON MY WIFE’S REQUEST PLEASE NOBODY DO ANYTHING PHYSICAL TO SKETE IM GOING TO HANDLE THE SITUATION MYSELF.”

When Kim and Davidson spilt in August 2022, West posted his last dig at Pete with a photo of an edited newspaper where the headline read “Skete Davidson Is Dead at Age 28.”

West thanks Jonah Hill following antisemitism controversy

West’s account was suspended in October 2022 following a string of antisemitic remarks, some of which claimed that the “Jewish media” was censoring him and had an agenda against him.

He then came back on Instagram to declare that he “likes Jewish people again” after watching Jonah Hill’s performance in 21 Jump Street.

The caption continued: “No one should take anger against one or two individuals and transform that into hatred towards millions of innocent people.

“No Christian can be labeled antisemite knowing Jesus is Jew. Thank you Jonah Hill I love you.”
