Kim K may have made her fame for her immaculate behind, but it turns out she’s also good at giving advice as a mom of 4 young children. The SKIMS founder and reality TV star has a lot to say about parenthood, especially as she navigates it as a single mother since her split from her ex-husband Kanye West.

The host of the podcast, Jay Shetty, asks Kim what she thought her vision would be like for parenting in comparison to what it’s actually like for her.

“Everyone says the days are long and the years are short, and that couldn’t be like a more true statement.” says Kardashian.

All under the age of 10, Kim’s four children are close in age, meaning a lot of nights in the last years were spent feeding, changing and rocking to sleep.

“So, like, when you’re in it, I mean, especially when they’re babies and you’re feeding ... there’s madness going on. It’s like full madness,” she continues. “It’s the best chaos though.”

Kim and ex-Kanye have two daughters, North, 9, and Chicago, 5, and two sons, Saint, 7, and Psalm, 4. The 42-year-old certainly has her hands full in the mornings before school.

“It’s like I always have to do one of my daughter’s hair — and it has to be perfect and it has to be a certain way — and then this one needs me to put his shoes on and they all need you. ... It’s like full crazy madness, cooking, running around. Like, it’s wild.”

She says the first two hours of her day after her morning workout are the craziest. With some help from family and friends, she manages to do it all including running a very successful clothing and skincare line.

Kim says to Jay that “parenting is the thing that has taught me the most about myself.”

“It has been the most challenging thing,” she continues. “There are nights I cry myself to sleep. Like, holy shit, this f---ing tornado in my house. Like, what just happened?”

Although it seems overwhelming and exhausting, Kim says she’s very happy with her role despite it being the most difficult job with a high reward.

“It is the most rewarding job in the entire world. It is. There is nothing that can prepare you. ... I don’t care how long you wait. I don’t care what you’re waiting for. You are never prepared.”

“If a tantrum comes in, oh my God, your life is completely upside down,” she says. “But it teaches you so much more about yourself than I think anyone, any parent, could have ever anticipated.”

“There’s just nothing that can prepare you for this experience. It is the most challenging, rewarding job on this planet,” she says.
