The Stranger Things star revealed in an interview with Buzzfeed UK that her real name is in fact Millie Bonny Brown, something that was previously unknown to the public.

In the short video published by the outlet, actor Chris Pratt asked her what her middle name was, to which she replied “my middle name is Bonny”.

Pratt, stunned, questioned “OK, so you’re name is ‘Millie Bobby Bonny Brown?‘"

“No, no Bobby, it’s Millie Bonny Brown. I’ve never told anyone that. You heard it here first!”

When asked by Pratt as to why she changed her name, Millie Bobb- Bonny Brown replied “for shits and giggles.”

'I grew up in front of the world, and people can’t seem to grow with me'

Millie Bobby Brown was born in Marbella, Spain, and became a household name as Eleven in the Netflix series Stranger Things, a role which saw her become one of the youngest ever nominees for a Primetime Emmy Award.

She has also starred in movies like Enola Holmes and Godzilla: King of the Monsters. She is married to Jake Bongiovi, the son of Jon Bon Jovi.

The actress has recently made headlines after she hit out at journalists for criticising her appearance. “I grew up in front of the world, and for some reason, people can’t seem to grow with me,” she said on Instagram. “Instead, they act like I’m supposed to stay frozen in time, like I should look the way I did on ‘Stranger Things’ Season 1. And now because I don’t, I’m a target.”

The fact that adult writers are spending their time dissecting my face, my body, my choices, it’s disturbing. The fact that some of these articles are written by women? Even worse.”
