Kristen Bell is set to star in a new Netflix series with writer Erin Foster and executive producer Steven Levitan.

The series, yet to be titled, will follow the story of an unlikely relationship between an outspoken agnostic woman and an unconventional rabbi.

Variety reported that audiences can expect the upcoming series starring Kristen Bell to start work soon, as well as insight into the executive producers scheduled to work on the show.

The production team

Foster created and wrote the series and will be serving as an executive producer alongside Bell and Levitan through his company, Steven Levitan Productions.

Craig DiGregorio, Sara Foster, and Danielle Stokdyk are also executive producers, with Oly Obst and Josh Lieberman, executive producers at 3 Arts. 20th Television are contracted to work alongside the group as part of an all-encompassing agreement with the studio.

Kristen Bell’s starring roles

Kristin Bell has previously starred in the Netflix series ‘The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window’, a dark comedy mystery about a traumatized woman with seemingly too much time on her hands, as well as her 2019 Golden Globe nominated NBC’s ‘The Good Place’.

Bell has also starred in ‘Veronica Mars’, a detective series in which she reprised her role for one more season on streaming platform Hulu, as well as films ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’ and ‘Bad Moms’. She also lended her voice as the narrator in the children’s movie, ‘Frozen’.

The executive producers’ past work

Levitan has won eight Emmy Awards for his work as co-creator of the ABC sitcom ‘Modern Family’, which had 11 successful seasons and wrapped in 2022. Levitan won the award for best writing for a comedy series twice, and once for best directing for a comedy series.

Levitan also created the Hulu Hollywood satire series “Reboot’, the NBC sitcom ‘Just Shoot Me’, as well as ‘Frasier’, ‘Wings’, and ‘The Larry Sanders Show’.

Meanwhile, Foster is known for her work co-creating and starring in the VH1 series ‘Barely Famous’, and was one of the writers for the NBC sitcom ‘The New Normal.’
