Lana Del Rey returned to the stage for the first time in four years at the MITA Festival in Brazil, which she headlined. She performed her first full set since her ‘The Norman Fucking Rockwell! Tour’ in 2019.

Del Rey also performed six new songs live for the first time, including songs from her latest album ‘Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd’ in her set consisting of 20 songs.

In the time since she’s been away from touring, she’s performed twice on Late Night shows. In 2020 she performed on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ and in 2021, she sang on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’.

Del Rey performed a number of songs live for the first time

Del Rey began her set at the Jockey Club Brasileiro in Rio de Janeiro, with a message on the screen that said “God bless you, Brazil’ in Portuguese, before performing ‘A&W’ live for the first time, featuring dramatic color changes between blue, red and yellow.

She revealed a platinum blonde wig in the style of Marilyn Monroe, and wore a black vintage-inspired dress.

Del Rey then launched into ‘Young and Beautiful’, after which she took off the wig, revealing her natural brown tresses before launching into her third song of the evening, ‘Bartender’ from 2019′s ‘Norman Fucking Rockwell!’

Del Rey has released three new albums since her last live shows, and her set at MITA included the first time that many songs have been heard live.

Throughout the rest of her show, she performed since her ‘The Norman Fucking Rockwell! Tour’ in 2019 and she later sang ‘Flipside’ from 2014′s ‘Ultraviolence’, both never before played live.

From ‘Did You Know…”, aside from ‘A&W’ she also debuted ‘The Grants’, ‘Candy Necklace’ and the song ‘Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd’.

Del Rey’s return to live performances

After her MITA Festival performance, Del Rey is set to perform at several more festivals in 2023.

In July, she’ll be heading to Canada to perform at Quebec’s Festival d’été de Québec, before making her way across the Atlantic for the British Summer Time Hyde Park 2023.

And in August, she’ll be headlining Lollapalooza 2023 in Chicago. Afterward, she’ll be flying down to San Francisco for the Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival.

October will find the ‘Million Dollar Man’ singer traveling to Columbia, Maryland for the All Things Go Music Festival.
