Update:

The Doobie Brothers are hitting the road again in 2025, bringing their classic hits and fresh tracks to fans across North America. The tour kicks off on August 4 in Detroit, Michigan, at the Pine Knob Music Theatre, with stops in major cities including Boston, Chicago, New York, and Toronto.

This tour coincides with the release of their new album, “Walk This Road,” set to drop on June 6. The album reunites core members Patrick Simmons, Tom Johnston, Michael McDonald, and John McFee, marking their first original studio collaboration with McDonald since 1980. Fans can look forward to new songs like the title track “Walk This Road,” featuring Mavis Staples, and “Call Me,” both available now.

At the risk of getting your head bopping and your foot tapping, here’s a little reminder of one of the classics:

Who else is touring with the Doobie Brothers?

As you may have expected, some special guests have already been lined up with The Coral Reefer Band, known for their performances with the late Jimmy Buffett, joining them on this journey. We’re awaiting further info.

Reflecting on their enduring passion for performing, the now 76-year-old Simmons addressed the notion of aging rockers on the road.

“A lot of people will be like, ‘Oh god you want to be out, die on the road?’ Well, why not? It’s as good as going anywhere else.

“The dream of getting up there and rockin' onstage, that was all kind of what we idealized as kids, and here we are, as old guys, still living it.”
