The news came to light regarding the actor after an Instagram publication by his mother, Drena De Niro. Despite being so young, Leandro De Niro was an established actor, appearing in films such as ‘Cabaret’ and ‘A Star is Born’.

However, TMZ have published that the actor could have died due to an overdose, saying that “law enforcement sources tell TMZ Leandro’s death is being investigated as an overdose.
