Brie Larson leads an all-female superhero cast in Marvel’s new trailer.

Update:
Brie Larson leads an all-female superhero cast in Marvel’s new trailer.

Fans can finally have a chance to get a glimpse into the next ‘Captain Marvel’ movie, as the much-anticipated trailer has now been released.

Directed by Nia DaCosta, who also directed ‘Candyman’, the movie stars Brie Larson returning to her role as Captain Marvel, with an all-girl cast leading the storyline.

The film will be released in theaters on November 10, 2023.

The release of the ‘Captain Marvel’ tour

Marvel Studios released the first trailer for the ‘Captain Marvel’ sequel, ‘The Marvels’.

Larson stars as Carol Danvers, with ‘Ms. Marvel’ star Iman Vellani and ‘WandaVision’ star Teyonah Parris as her sidekicks for the next round of epic superhero action.

What is the new ‘Captain Marvel’ movie about?

According to the film’s official synopsis, Larson’s character, Carol as Captain Marvel, “has reclaimed her identity from the tyrannical Kree and taken revenge on the Supreme Intelligence.

“But unintended consequences see Carol shouldering the burden of a destabilized universe. When her duties send her to an anomalous wormhole linked to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entangled with that of Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan, a.k.a. Ms. Marvel (Vellani, 20), and Carol’s estranged niece, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau (Parris, 35).”

“Together, this unlikely trio must team up and learn to work in concert to save the universe as ‘The Marvels.’”

Even Larson didn’t know she would be in the sequel

Brie Larson told Variety in September 2022 that she didn’t know if she would be invited to reprise her role as Captain Marvel.

“I don’t know — does anyone want me to do it again?” Larson said. “I don’t know, I really don’t know. I don’t have the answer to that.”
