Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi’s relationship timeline

‘Stranger Things’ fans are losing their minds as it appears that Millie Bobby Brown may have announced her engagement to boyfriend Jake Bongiovi. The actress shared a black and white photo to her Instagram on Tuesday, showing off a diamond ring on her left hand.

The 19-year-old actress also captioned the post with lyrics from a Taylor Swift song ‘Lover’ writing “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ‘em all.” Bongiovi, who is the son of musician Jon Bon Jovi also shared an additional post with the caption “Forever.”

As Brown and Bongiovi prepare for their big day, let’s take a look back at their relationship history.

Sparking romance rumors

The two first fueled relationship rumors in June 2021, after Bongiovi shared a photo of the pair together on Instagram. The two are seen pouting in a selfie taken in the back of a car, with the famous musician’s son captioning the post “bff <3.”

Later that week, the then 17 and 19-year-olds were seen holding hands while on a walk in New York City. The pair were also seen going shopping and taking turns carrying a tote bag holding a puppy.

Months later in November, the couple made their relationship Instagram Official, with Brown posting a photo of them embracing on the London Eye.

Red Carpet Debut

Finally, in March 2022, the young couple made their first red carpet-appearance. They graced the 2022 Baftas’ red carpet together in elegant matching black ensembles.

Brown wore a stunning gothic lace and velvet gown, and Bongiovi in a matching classic black tuxedo, with Bongiovi holding Brown’s waist tightly as they pose for red carpet pictures.

Shortly before the ceremony, Brown celebrated her 18th birthday, and the couple dressed up as Barbie and Ken to celebrate the occasion, Bongiovi commemorated the day on Instagram with the caption, “Happy birthday barbie ily <3.”

Engagement rumors

Earlier in August of 2022, fans speculated that the couple was engaged, as Brown was seen wearing a diamond ring on her ring finger as she and Bongiovi were spotted kissing on a stroll in New York City.

Fast forward to April 2023, the couple seemingly has confirmed their engagement on social media. The two are seen in a black and white photograph laughing and smiling as Bongiovi hugs Brown from behind.

Shortly after the post fans and friends of the couple flooded the comments to share their congratulations on the engagement. Actor Aaron Paul wrote, “Yesssss!!! Congratulations you two!”

Actors Madison Bailey and Noah Schnapp also shared their congratulations for the couple. Former Disney actress Ashley Tisdale also shared her love for the news in the comments.
