Miranda Lambert considers ‘Yellowstone’ cameo on one condition
The country music singer had one previous TV Cameo almost a decade prior
Miranda Lambert won’t give a definitive answer about doing a cameo on ‘Yellowstone,’ but the country singer does have some stipulations if that were to ever happen.
Lambert recently explained that if she were to cameo on the neo-western drama TV series she would be most comfortable portraying herself.
“I’ve never been an actress. It’s not my favorite thing,” Lambert told Entertainment Tonight after she was asked about the possible cameo. “But if I can play myself ... that’s a little bit easier on me.”
Previous TV Roles
If Lambert were to appear on the show it wouldn’t be the first time she has stepped foot in front of the cameras for a role. The ‘Somethin’ Bad’ singer previously had a cameo appearance on a 2012 episode of ‘Law & Order Special Victims Unit.’
Lambert played the role of ‘Lacey Ford’ in the episode, ‘Father’s Shadow’. The episode also featured actor Cameron Monaghan, who is best known for his work on the TV series ‘Shameless’, as a guest appearance.
Lambert reflected on her previous TV experience with Entertainment Tonight. The singer is a longtime fan of the TV series.
“I’ve done one thing, and it was probably the one,” Lambert said of her portrayal on the detective show. “I’m not saying I won’t ever do it again.”
Appearing on Yellowstone
Interviewer Rachel Smith for the outlet pointed out that Lambert already has made a minor cameo on the show. A poster of Lambert posing on her 2009 album cover ‘Revolution’ appears on the back of the cowboy bunkhouse door in several shots on the show.
“My baby posters. I was like 19 in that picture,” the ‘If I Were a Cowboy’ singer laughed.
Good company
Lambert wouldn’t be the first country music star to appear on the show. Ryan Bingham and Lainy Wilson both have recurring roles in the series. Faith Hill and her husband Tim McGraw also starred in the ‘Yellowstone’ prequel ‘1883′.
Lambert also isn’t the only big star considering a cameo on the show. Recently Keanu Reeves told ET Canada he would be interested in appearing in ‘Yellowstone’.
“I’d love to do a western so yeah, yeah sure,” he replied to ET Canada when asked if he’d be interested in a “surprise role” on a show like ‘Yellowstone.’
