This is a big day for the music industry and Rihanna fans worldwide, as the singing superstar gears up for today’s big comeback performance at Super Bowl LVII.

The Kansas City Chiefs face the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday evening for the Vince Lombardi Trophy, yet millions of viewers will be tuning in to see Rihanna’s big show — including her peers.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and R&B singer H.E.R. sat down for an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 to talk about Rihanna’s upcoming Super Bowl LVII half time show.

Both artists have had the headline honor at the Super Bowl before, with Coldplay performing along with Beyoncé and Bruno Mars in 2016, and H.E.R. singing ‘America the Beautiful’ during the opening ceremony in 2021.

Chris Martin all about RIhanna

In the the interview, Martin revealed how excited he was to see Rihanna perform at the Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday.

The ‘Yellow’ singer doesn’t know Rihanna “very well” but he is a huge fan of her music.

“I’m very biased because I’m such a big Rihanna fan,” Martin said. “I mean, I think she could just walk out in sweatpants and sing, and that would be just great.”

Though they never got a chance to bond, Rihanna and Coldplay have been on stage together.

“We have performed with her a few times,” Martin added.

Going deeper into the conversation of Rihanna’s absence from the spotlight and her big Super Bowl return, Martin contemplated what had compelled Rihanna to do the show.

“It is rarer and rarer for her to just sing, which is what makes it even more special,” Martin commented. “And in a strange way, it shows that she really, really wants to do it,” he continued.

“No one can make Rihanna do anything at this point, and so I think the fact that she has chosen to do it now, when her stock couldn’t be, you have to be an idiot not to recognize that she’s the best singer of all time.”

H.E.R. waiting on Rihanna

R&B star H.E.R. also talked to Apple Music 1 about Rihanna’s upcoming show, as she revealed what songs she wanted to hear the ‘Umbrella’ singer perform at Sunday’s halftime show.

“Man, I want to hear ‘Umbrella’. I want to hear the classics,” H.E.R. exclaimed. “I want to hear ‘We Found Love’. I want to hear, man, it’s so many, I don’t even know.

“I know I want to hear ‘Love on the Brain’”

Thinking of all the songs she wanted to hear, H.E.R. joked that there wouldn’t be enough time to hear them all.

“They’re going to have to extend the broadcast just a little bit,” she laughed.
