Rauw Alejandro and other Latin artists make up Forbes 2023 30 under 30
Three Latin acts made up the North American music list for 2023.
Forbes has unveiled the North American list for it’s 2023 Forbes 30 under 30, and three Latin musical acts have made the music list.
Rauw Alejandro, Annita and Becky G also made it to the list this year, joining the Latin stars who have made previous year’s Forbes 30 under 30 music lists, including Bad Bunny, Camila Cabello, Lele Pons
Rauw Alejandro
Rauw Alejandro, born Raúl Alejandro Ocasio Ruiz, is a Puerto Rican reggaeton artist, who has won multiple awards, including two Latin Grammys, winning Best Urban Fusion/Performance for the song ‘Tattoo (Remix), and Album of the Year for his songwriting credits on his fiancée, Rosalía’s 2022 album ‘Motomami’.
He has also won two Billboard Latin Music Awards, including Airplay Song of the Year in 2021 for the song ‘Todo de Ti’ which also won Latin Pop Song of the Year.
Rauw has also received multiple Billboard Music Award and Grammy Award nominations.
Anitta
Anitta, born Larissa de Macedo Machado, is a Brazilian singer and songwriter, who performs music in a variety of genres, including pop, reggaeton, carioca, and funk. She is trilingual, performing music in her native Portuguese, as well as Spanish and English.
She has received a number of accolades. In 2022, she won the Favorite Video Award at the Latin American Music Awards for the music video for ‘Girl from Rio’. Anitta has been nominated for numerous Latin Grammy Awards.
She also won the Best Latin Award at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Her single ‘Envolver’ has achieved over 500 million streams on Spotify, and her trilingual album ‘Versions of Me’ released in 2022, has earned 39 million streams on Spotify.
Becky G
Becky G, born Rebbeca Marie Gomez in Inglewood, California, is a singer, songwriter, actress, and entrepreneur, who also owns the makeup company Treslúce.
She most recently won an iHeartRadio Music Award this year for the song ‘Mamiii’ featuring Colombian artist Karol G, which also earned an award at the Premio Lo Nuestro Awards.
At the Latin American Music Awards, Becky G has won nine awards, beginning in 2016, when she won the Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist award and the Favorite Female Artist of the Year award.
Becky G has also won the Latin Artist of the Year Award at the People’s Choice Awards on three occasions, once in 2019, again in 2020 and a third time in 2022.
