Ryan Reynolds discusses the possibility of a ‘Free Guy’ sequel

In a recent interview, the actor discussed the chances of a ‘Free Guy 2′.

Ryan Reynolds recently attended the Just For Laughs comedy festival and held a Q&A hosted by Rob Delaney.

The festival was held at London’s O2 arena where the actor discussed the possibility of a ‘Free Guy’ sequel.

Free Guy 2?

Reynolds stated that while a sequel is certainly possible, he doesn’t think it’s necessary.

“There is the potential to do a sequel to ‘Free Guy’, which would be fun,” he said. “I would love it. But also like, does everything f**king have to be a sequel?

“I don’t know. Sometimes it’s OK to just do a movie and have it kick ass and then everyone go home.”

“So you know, there’s a bit of a push and pull there, resisting the urge to just immediately say, ‘Ohh, doing a sequel will validate the first one.’

“No, the first movie validates the first one and then you can leave it at that. So I don’t know, we’re still talking about it,” he concluded.

‘Free Guy’ is an action-comedy film released in 2021. It takes place in an open world video game and follows the story of an NPC (non-playable character) who decides to be the hero of his own story.

The film stars Reynolds, Joe Keery, Jodie Comer and Taika Waititi with many other celebrity cameos like Chris Evans and Dwayne Johnson.

Reynolds and Blake Lively welcome new baby

Reynolds and his wife, actress Blake Lively, recently welcomed their fourth child earlier this year. However, the baby’s name, gender and birth date has not been officially revealed, likely due to privacy reasons.

Prior to giving birth, Lively shared photos of her baby bump to Instagram to appease the paparazzi.

She captioned the post: “Here are photos of me pregnant in real life so the 11 guys waiting outside my home for a sighting will leave me alone.”

The couple already have three daughters together: James (7), Inez (6), Betty (3).
