Disney+ announces ‘Wrexham’ season 2
Disney+ confirmed on their official Twitter account Thursday that a season two of ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ is in the works, with an expected release date sometime in 2023.
The streaming company posted a photo of Reynolds and McElhenney hoisting the Vanarama National League trophy Wrexham won last weekend.
“Coming in 2023, Season 2 is going to be WILD,” Disney+ wrote in the caption.
Ryan Reynolds’ investment in Wrexham
Wrexham is in the top three longest-standing soccer clubs in the world. Though the Hollywood duo have no experience running a soccer team, they jumped in with both feet.
After making a long list of promises that were seemingly impossible, Reynolds has delivered on them one by one, until Wrexham set a record by returning to the professional league for the first time in 15 years.
