Following the tragic death of Paul Cattermole, the band is heading on tour with a new name — and minus Hannah Spearritt.

S Club 7 has rebranded with their new tour on the horizon.

Now down to five members from the original seven, the band will now be known as S Club, and their new tour will be called ‘Good Times’.

S Club heading on tour

‘Good Times’ is known as one of Paul Cattermole’s songs, as he sang lead vocals when the hit was released.

“That was his song and all the fans knew it was his song, so it just feels right,” Tina Barrett said.

Cattermole tragically passed away in April 2023.

Meanwhile, one of the band’s original members, Hannah Spearritt, has announced she will not be joining the others on tour.

S Club plans to continue the tour despite the loss of one friend, and the departure of another, with tour dates scheduled across the UK and Ireland.

The band’s Instagram announcement

The announcement comes from the five-piece band in the form of a video on Instagram.

Bradley McIntosh spoke about the band’s “disbelief” of losing their bandmate.

“[We are] all still in so much disbelief,” he said. “Paul was a big brother to us, all of us and you guys out there. He truly was a unique specimen of human being.

No one could replace our Paul, he lives on inside in each and every one of us.

The rest of the band commented in the video as well.

He’s always going to be with us,” Rachel Stevens continued. “He was such a big part of this tour, so involved in everything that we are planning. And we are just going to keep his memory alive and share it with all of you and it’s going to make it even more special.”

“You’ve probably noticed that there’s only five of us here today, and although Hannah will always be part of S Club 7 she won’t be joining us on this tour,” Jon Lee added. “We wish her all the best for the future. However, the five of us are really excited and geared up.”

“Whenever Paul would walk into the room, you definitely knew that he was there because he would just light it up with humour and love - just a really special person,” Jo O’Meara said.
