Selena Gomez toasts costar Meryl Streep

Selena Gomez has recently praised her newest ‘Only Murders in the Building’ co-star Meryl Streep. Actor Steve Martin initially revealed that Meryl Streep had joined the cast of ‘Only Murders in the Building’ for season three in January.

As shooting wraps up, the 30-year-old actress and singer is singing her praises for Streep. Gomez shared a photo of her and Streep embracing and grinning at each other on Thursday, to celebrate the end of filming.

Wrapping up filming

Gomez captioned the post, “Well we wrapped season 3 of @onlymurdershulu -I’m not sure I have enough words to explain just how beautiful this season has been,” she wrote. “It has been deliriously hilarious, challenging, and for me, an absolute dream. I’ll post more soon.”

She added, “But I’ll leave it with the woman I adore, look up to, and love.”

Some of Gomez’s celebrity friends celebrated the series’ milestone in the comment section. Lily Collins wrote, “Omg cannot wait!!!!!” while Nicola Peltz Beckham commented a string of heart emojis.

New cast members

Meryl Streep isn’t the only newcomer to the ‘Only Murders in the Building’ cast. Three months earlier, Gomez shared a video to her Instagram welcoming new costar Paul Rudd and Streep onto the set.

“Hey guys, we’re on set! What are we shooting? Season 3! The gang is back!” Gomez said, as she moved the camera to show her costars Steve Martin and Martin Short. “Yay! Could this honestly get any better? Oh wait!”

She then turned the camera to Rudd and then to Streep, excitedly revealing the full crew. She captioned the video, “I could cry season 3 is coming!”

Gomez regularly updates her fans on the behind-the-scenes action on set. Earlier in March she posted a photo in a wedding dress while sitting on the floor with a Coca-Cola in hand.

Gomez captioned the post, “I have no caption, Just a regular day at work. @onlymurdershulu.”

Currently, Seasons one and two of ‘Only Murders in the Building” are available to stream on Hulu.
