Sharon Osbourne reveals weight loss drug journey

The TV star admitted she used a popular weight loss drug for four months to lose weight.

Update:
Sharon Osborne gives CBS “the bird”

Sharon Osbourne has revealed she struggled with the side effects of a popular weight loss drug throughout the duration of her use. The TV star explained how she used the medication for four months to lose 30 pounds.

Although Osbourne didn’t specify what medication she took exactly, it’s likely she is describing Ozempic or a similar drug. Ozempic, a drug for diabetes, has become popular throughout Hollywood for its appetite-suppressant side effects.

Nauseous and sick

The 70-year-old shared her experiences on ‘The Talk’ on Thursday.

“I was very sick for a couple of months,” Osbourne explained.

“The first couple of months, I just felt nauseous. Every day I felt nauseous, my stomach was upset, whatever.” She went on to specify that “like everything, there’s always no quick recipe.”

Osbourne also revealed her appetite is back to normal after stopping the injections of the weight loss drug.

“But listen, I took it for four months, I lost 30 pounds,” Osbourne continued. “I’ve just shoved two chips in my mouth, while we had the break, and I eat normally now, and I haven’t put on a pound. Nothing.”

The big reveal comes just ahead of King Charles III’s coronation this weekend, which Osbourne will be attending.

Other celebrities trying it out

Osbourne isn’t the first celebrity to admit to using the diabetes medication to shed a few pounds. Elon Musk recently revealed he was using Wegovy, another registered name for Ozempic.

When a fan asked “Hey, @elonmusk what’s your secret? You look awesome, fit, ripped & healthy. Lifting weights? Eating healthy?” the billionaire simply replied “Fasting” and “Wegovy”.

However, other celebrities have spoken out about the unknown dangers of taking a prescription drug for weight loss. Bethany Frankel, a former star of ‘The Real Housewives of New York City’, previously bashed the drug after explaining how she heard the drug can affect people’s moods and personalities.

“I’m hearing stories about it being a mood alterer,” she said in an Instagram video last month. “I’m hearing that it’s affecting people’s personalities.

“Mark my words,” Frankel said. “We’re not going to hear about the s–t show of this for months and years to come … it’s going to be a f–king s–t show.
