The one day mega heavy music festival in Las Vegas with nearly 60 bands announced that due to “unforeseen circumstances” the show would not go on.

‘Sick New World’ announced in October the line-up of artists for its third year of the mega heavy music festival in Las Vegas. However, just over a month and a half later the organizers “with great disappointment” informed that due to “unforeseen circumstances” the show on April 12, 2025 would not go on as planned.

“Despite our best efforts, we’ve encountered unforeseen circumstances that we are unable to overcome for next year’s show,” the festival organizers posted on the website for the event and across social media. “We extend our heartfelt thanks to the all the dedicated SNW fans who had made plans to join us for another cultural celebration of hard rock, goth, alternative and heavy music. Please stay tuned for further and future information regarding Sick New World.”

Fortunately for ticketholders who purchased theirs directly from Front Gate Tickets, can expect an automatic refund in as little as 30 days via the original method of payment. However, those who already made travel plans may be out of luck recovering any money spent on flights and hotels if those were non-refundable as one person wrote in the comments to the announcement.

‘Sick New World’ 2025 had booked nearly 60 groups including several heavy hitters like Metallica, Linkin Park, Queens Of The Stone Age, Evanescence, AFI, Ministry, Gojira, Acid Bath, The Flaming Lips, DOWN and many more for the one day event.

The festival debuted in 2022 with System of a Down headlining that year and the following. Both previous iterations of the event sold out and had large crowds tens of thousands attending.
