Song Jae Rim, one of South Korea’s best known actors, has died at the age of 39, police in his native country have confirmed.

According to reports, the actor, who also worked as model, was found dead in his apartment in the Seongdong District of Seoul, the South Korean capital on Tuesday. A two-page letter was allegedly found at the scene alongside his body, although the contents of it are unknown.

At present, the reason for his death hasn’t been confirmed, although a police statement revealed their initial investigation had suggested there were no signs of foul play. This information will be updated once it has been made public.

Song Jae Rim played leading male roles in a number of South Korean dramas and films after 2012 MBC drama ‘The Moon Embracing the Sun’ gave him his big breakthrough. More recently, he earned critical acclaim for his part in Paramount+ web series ‘Queen Woo’.
