Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ is touching down in East Rutherford, New Jersey this weekend, and the governor has announced a unique way to pay tribute to the singer.

Swift will play a trio of shows at MetLife Stadium, and like all of her ‘Eras Tour’ stop so far, she is receiving some special honors ahead of her shows.

“In New Jersey, we have a reputation for a great war between Taylor ham and pork roll,” Gov. Phil Murphy said in a video filled with Swift references in which he talked about the state’s never-ending sandwich debate.

“Usually we let you call it what you want, but since we have a superstar coming to town we know all too well that we should commemorate the occasion. So today, we are declaring the official state sandwich of New Jersey a Taylor Swift ham, egg and cheese.

“Welcome to New Jersey, Taylor! We’ve been waiting for you, and it would have been a cruel summer without you.”

The office also posted an official proclamation declaring the news.

Swift’s trio of sold-out concerts starts on Friday. She last played the venue during her ‘Reputation’ Stadium Tour back in 2018, with her performance of ‘Clean’ making it into her Netflix concert documentary.

It also comes after Swift announced that a special CD edition of ‘Midnights’ will be available exclusively for ticket holders this weekend. It will feature a ‘Karma’ remix with Ice Spice, the ‘More Lana’ version of ‘Snow on the Beach’ with Lana Del Rey, the bonus cut of ‘Hits Different’ and an unreleased vault track of ‘You’re Losing Me’.

Swift has received other honors during her previous stops

Just last month, Tampa, Florida Mayor Jane Castor said the city would name her “honorary mayor” while she was in town.

Back in March, Glendale, Arizona changed its name to “Swift City” to celebrate the 33-year-old kicking off her tour at State Farm Stadium.
